JANUARY 2024 ALBUM AND GIG NEWS

Hi Everyone, Wishing you all a belated Happy New Year for 2024. I've lots of exciting things coming up this year and the best way to follow me is via my Patreon Page, which is pretty much updated daily. As well as the paid membership tiers, (which offer great benefits and help me to continue as a musician creating new music), you can now also subscribe for free and at least get to see a limited number of my posts. 

2023 was an amazing year in many ways, and 2024 promises to be as well. In brief:

NEW SOLO ALBUM!
Recording on my 5th solo album "One the Edge (of what could be)" is progressing really well and will be released, hopefully sometime over the summer. Special guests on the album include Simon Phillips (drums), Jon Poole (bass), Randy McStine (vocals), Sally and Susie Minnear (vocals), Ebony Buckle (vocals), Troy Donockley (uilleann pipes, whistles, vocals, guitar) and David Fitzgerald (Saxophones, flute, whistle).  Over the next month or so we'll be adding contributions from Iain Hornal (vocals) and Nigel Cameron (low whistle), and maybe a very special guest playing acoustic guitar on one tune :) I'm also collaborating with my good friend Dave Brons on creating videos for the album. Follow the album progress on my Patreon page where you can find videos and photos from the sessions and much more! 

AND.....My first 100 paying patrons will also soon be able to pre-order an exclusive Patreon only box version of the album, which will include an additional cd of new music only available in this limited edition box and some other items only to be found in this version!!

GIGS AND TOURS
I'll periodically be updating the SHOWS page with more gigs, so do check back or join the mailing list to keep up to date on where I'm playing. Coming up soon will be 2 shows with Lifesigns on Cruise to the Edge with our special guests Simon Phillips on drums, Sally Minnear and Linsey Ward on backing vocals! I'll also be reunited with my good friend Frank van Essen as we tour with Adrian Snell in The Netherlands and UK, and there will be a summer UK tour with Sally Minnear in June and July. After a very enjoyable run back in November, more Dave solo dates will also be added in the USA for this year. Hope to see you somewhere on the road!
